From a Cincinnati estate, this brooch/stock pin in hunt whip form is 18 kt yellow gold with a quartz, hand painted cabochon featuring a formally dressed rider taking a coop. The piece weighs 7.9 grams, is 2 1/4" long, hallmarked with the French Eagle mark and the Cartier hand stamped maker's mark. It is rubbed, but easily shows "Cartier 905". It also has an import mark. The brooch will arrive in its original Cartier jewelry box. Those who know Cartier will appreciate the significance of this piece and pride that lies in its ownership.
